Local Hack Day @ Pace University is a 12 hour hack day on the Pleasantville campus that brings together the local hacker community to celebrate building awesome technology. On December 2nd 2017, students around the world will be simultaneously hosting their own MLH Local Hack Day at their school, resulting in the single largest day of student hacking ever.
Our Schedule:
8:45am: Doors Open! Sign in at the entrance of Friedman MPR
9:10am: Opening Ceremony: Friedman MPR
9:30am - 7:00pm: Hacking Starts!
9:30am - 10:30am: Workshop: Intro to Python Programming and API Usage @ Willcox 30
10:30am - 11:30am: Workshop: Building Applications Using the the MEAN stack @ Willcox 30
11:30am - noon: Workshop: Gitting Ready For Git and Github @ Lecture Hall
Noon: Lunch is served!
1:00pm - 2:00pm: Workshop: Product Development in 60 Minutes
2:30pm - 3:30pm: Workshop: HTML/ CSS
5:00pm - 6:00pm: Werewolf!
7:00pm: Submissions are due here on Devpost!
7:15pm: Demos and Presentations start
8:30pm: Awards & Closing Ceremony
Eligibility
All projects must be submitted on DevPost by Saturday 7pm, December 2nd.
We ask that team sizes have a minimum of 2 individuals and a maximum of 4.
All team members must be enrolled in an undergradutate or graduate degree program at Pace University at the time of submission.
All participants must follow and abide by the Code of Conduct signed upon registration to Local Hack Day.
Requirements
Participants must submit a project to be eligible to present. Each team will be allotted 120 seconds for their presentation. Presentation length will be strictly enforced.
Projects must be functioning demos. Powerpoints and slides are extremely discouraged.
